Grade 1 School Supplies Letter
Congratulations on completing the 2021-22 school year at Rivers Elementary. For our new students, welcome to our school. I would like to wish everyone an enjoyable and safe summer holidays with family and friends.
Please remember that school starts on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. The classroom teacher will purchase all the school supplies needed in the room. Our goal is always to reduce school costs for families, ensure that all students have appropriate supplies and save parents time and effort of finding all the necessary supplies. We purchase the necessities with these funds and provide the rest of the supplies from the school budget to help cover costs. Please make cheques payable to Rivers Elementary School.
When you arrive on September 7, 2022, you will only need to bring:

A pair of indoor runners (to stay at school)
•
A backpack to carry belongings and schoolwork home every night
•
Water Bottle
•
Ear Buds or Headphones
•
A cheque for the school supplies and student fees as described below
Parents will pay for (items covered by cheque):

All consumable items such as paper, scribblers, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, glue, etc.

Craft Supplies, Binders, Duo Tangs, Clip Boards, Class Projects, etc.)
*Ear Buds or Headphones
*Running Shoes ~ with your child’s name on them
(Velcro or Slip-On ~ to be left at school)
In SEPTEMBER, your child will need a LARGE BACKPACK ~ (large enough to carry Library Books home)
